To make an impact in the congenital heart ICU at the UF Health Shands, you will:
- Coordinate continuity of patient care patient care and contribute to the daily care of pediatric acute care patients.
- Consult with the supervisory physician to determine the most appropriate care for patients.
- Make frequent rounds to assess the status of patients, identify alterations in patient health and assess patient response to treatment.
- Implement nursing interventions based upon established treatment protocols and anticipate potential outcomes for those at risk for complications.
- Write orders, interact with consultants and coordinate scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
To achieve excellence in this full-time role, we’re looking for:
- ACNPs or PA-Cs with a current and clear license (or eligibility to be licensed) as an advanced practice registered nurse or certified physician assistant in Florida.
- ICU experience preferred.
- A master’s degree in an accredited physician assistant program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- You must meet requirements set forth by the medical staff office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an ACNP or PA-C within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF HealthCare Network, as applicable.
