To make an impact in the congenital heart ICU at the UF Health Shands, you will:
Coordinate continuity of patient care patient care and contribute to the daily care of pediatric acute care patients.
Consult with the supervisory physician to determine the most appropriate care for patients.
Make frequent rounds to assess the status of patients, identify alterations in patient health and assess patient response to treatment.
Implement nursing interventions based upon established treatment protocols and anticipate potential outcomes for those at risk for complications.
Write orders, interact with consultants and coordinate scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
To achieve excellence in this full-time role, we’re looking for:
ACNPs or PA-Cs with a current and clear license (or eligibility to be licensed) as an advanced practice registered nurse or certified physician assistant in Florida.
ICU experience preferred.
A master’s degree in an accredited physician assistant program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
You must meet requirements set forth by the medical staff office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an ACNP or PA-C within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF HealthCare Network, as applicable.
